ATCO Indigenous Education Awards Program

In the spirit of reconciliation, we acknowledge the traditional territories and homelands on which many of our ATCO operations and facilities are located. We honour and respect the diverse history, languages, ceremonies, and culture of the Indigenous Peoples who call these areas home.

Supporting Tomorrow's Leaders

As a long-standing partner of Indigenous communities, ATCO is proud to support First Nation, Métis, and Inuit students in pursuing their educational goals.

ATCO recognizes the systemic barriers and unique challenges that many Indigenous students from Canada face on their path to higher education. Through the Indigenous Education Awards Program - which includes Merit, Scholarships and Bridging Awards - ATCO aims to support Indigenous students from all fields of study who demonstrate a commitment to their education, maintain a balanced lifestyle, and serve as positive role models within their schools and/or communities.

IMPORTANT DATE: APPLICATION DEADLINE - OCTOBER 2, 2026, 6:00 PM (MST)

Selection Process

While ATCO would like to support every eligible applicant, meeting the requirements and submitting a completed application does not guarantee an award; recipients will be selected by the organization's Selection Committee. Preference will be given to students from Indigenous communities where ATCO has business operations and interests.

  • Applicants selected to receive an award will receive a "Congratulatory" email containing information and instructions on submitting additional information.
  • Applicants who are not selected will receive an email notification advising them their application has been declined.

Investing in education today helps build the leaders of tomorrow. ATCO is honoured to support Indigenous students as they work toward their academic, personal, and professional goals.
